Bierzo

It is located in the province of León. During the time of the Roman Empire, Pliny the Elder and Strabo made reference to their vineyards. During the Middle Ages, Bierzo wines served as a bargaining chip. This area has a mild microclimate and slate floors. Their wines are said to be very European. The characteristic ones are the reds, they have an intense aromatic expression due to the presence of Mencía, being balanced in tannins and velvety. The whites are clear and have a long aftertaste and the rosés are very fruity.
