Ratafía is a sweet liqueur, made from the maceration of different fruits (green walnuts, lemon peel, cherries, red carnation), herbs (mint) and spices (cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon, bramble branch ) in a base alcohol, generally brandy. Depending on the method and customs of the geographical area where it is made, the composition varies considerably.
