D.O.MONTSANT GEOGRAPHICAL SITUATION AND INFORMATION OF INTEREST It is located in the province of Tarragona, in the Priorato region and owes its name to the mountain range of the same name that crosses it. They are traditional of this D.O. the red and white Garnacha and the Cariñena although it has imported Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Tempranillo and Petit Verdot with excellent results. It produces very interesting red wines, concentrated and rich in color, high in tannins, which gives them greater longevity. The rosés are gaining presence in this denomination being very fruity with the presence of berries.
