Liébana

In the Liébana valley, in Cantabria, right at the entrance to Los Picos de Europa, pomace has been made since the High Middle Ages. It is a powerful pomace, with an average of about 52 alcoholic degrees. The pomace is a very important element for the community of Liébana, where the Orujo Festival is organized every year, where traditional pomace is distilled and tasted.
