Jerez

Brandies from Jerez have their own DO and must meet these requirements: 1- Be produced in the area delimited by Jerez, El Puerto de Santa María and Sanlúcar de Barrameda, 2- Use the method of aging by criaderas and soleras in 500 casks liters of American oak from the forests of Louisiana and New York, and 3- that these casks have contained any of the different types of Jerez wines. They are distinguished between Solera (6 months of aging), Solera Reserva (1 years) and Solera Gran Reserva (more than 3 years).
