Cachaza

Cachaça, also called “caxaca”, “caxa” or “branquinha”, is a type of alcoholic beverage originating in Brazil. It is made from the distillation of fermented sugar cane. We can distinguish between two types, the artisan and the industrial, the big difference between the two types is that the artisan is aged to improve its flavor and quality. Cachaça is known to be the main ingredient to make the Brazilian cocktail “caipirinha”.
