Mezcal
Mezcal
Mezcal is a traditional Mexican drink, made from the fermented juice of the agave plant. Although it is a drink similar to tequila, it is worth noting the great differences between these two drinks of Mexican origin. Mezcal is made 100% with agave maguey and not blue agave, unlike tequila, which may not be made entirely of agave. The origin of tequila is in Jalisco, on the other hand, Mezcal is made in Oaxaca and Michoacán. Finally, the taste of tequila is neutral, while Mezcal is highly aromatic.
